Super Saturday!

Happy Saturday!

Last night as I mentioned yesterday Taryne went to see the Boston Pops Symphony Orchestra at Symphony Hall in Boston. She didn't get home till almost midnight, and she is still in bed, so I didn't get to much information. She did tell me that she wasn't supposed to take pictures, but she managed to get one anyways, which is a bit blurry, but shows that she was there!

Also this morning I discovered that I have received TWO more of the "One Lovely Blog Award"s!!! I am so thankful for those who like my blog enough to pass along these awards! Thank you so much to:

This afternoon is going to be busy (what a shocker!). Taryne is going to a birthday party which starts off at the mall with a mall scavenger hunt (which seems to be a cool new trend). Then she'll continue onto her friends house for a pool party. In the middle of this I need to get Autumn dressed up in her dance costume with makeup and hair complete, to go the dance school to have her group dance photo taken. I am very afraid to apply makeup to her tiny little face! And trying to tame her unruly hair in a bun with no wispys may be near impossible! It will be good practice for the actual recital.

Well I'd better go and begin doing something to get a move-on.

Have a nice day!

Music Makes the World Go 'Round!

Taryne, my violinist and pianist, is going on her dream field trip tonight ~ to see the Boston Pops Symphony Orchestra with her school's music department. She is so excited about this trip, and I am so happy that she has found something to be excited about.

Later this evening she'll meet with her group at school, and they will take a bus to Boston for the show. I'm not sure yet if they allow cameras, but if so I will be sure to have her get some photos which I will share tomorrow!

As for me I will be continuing on with my life of errands, laundry etc., and then will try to stay awake tonight while I watch a movie, but I will probably fall asleep on the couch and wonder why I even bothered to attempt watching a movie, and realize that I should have just gone to bed and read more of "Twilight". But that's ok ~ I really don't mind.

Well that's all for now. If Taryne does get any good photos I'll be sure to share them tomorrow.

Happy Friday!

SILLYNESS

Yesterday I took some silly photos of myself wearing my vintage sunglasses! When you think of vintage you may think of the term old ~ I know I do. To be considered vintage something has to be at least 20 years old, which is kind of old for an accessory, but if your talking about an accessory that you actually wore when it was in style and you still own it, then it doesn't feel so old. I don't know if that makes sense to you but it does to me.

Anyways here they are~

1970's Walt Disney Donald Duck glasses - very retro!

1980's Hot Pink Cool Sunglasses which are sooo dark I don't know how I could have seen where I was going while wearing them.

And NOW! These are my big sunglasses new this season and if I keep them long enough they will eventually become vintage too!

During my lovely little photo shoot Autumn decided our bushes and lawn needed a trim, and that she would take care of it with her scizzors. She went crazy for about half an hour cutting, cutting, and cutting some more until her little hand was worn out. She was proud of herself and asked me if things looked good. I told her they did. Here are some photos of that business~

You can see she is very pleased with herself and this idea of hers.

Here she is in deep concentration!

Well that's all the sillyness I have for now, so I'm off to create some more!

Untitled

Good morning! I couldn't come up with a snappy title so this post is officially untitled!

Today I am going to be finishing up (hopefully) the project that I am working on for my Dad. Then I'm thinking that my next project will be a scrapbook layout inspired by "Twilight" fanatics. Taryne is definately a fanatic herself, so I will probably create a similar layout for her. For Taryne's last birthday she received the entire "Twilight" series, and has read them all at least 3 times. She kept insisting that I read them as well, so I finally started the first book. I'm a little more than halfway through and hope to finish this one, as well as "New Moon", before the second movie comes out. If I could only keep my eyes open long enough to read more than 3 pages at a time I'd be all set!

Tonight Taryne has her last piano lesson before her recital on Sunday! She is playing a song from the "Twilight" movie. The song was super popular among the girls, and she was the first to grab it for the recital. She does a GOOD job with it and I will post a video of her playing it soon!

Have a good day!

Here are the awards!!!

Ok, now for all of you who were wondering how my chipmunk saga ends here's the story. I finally gave up keeping track of where the chipmunk was located in my house, and I went to do some errands. When I got back there was a dead chipmunk in the driveway. I felt bad for it, but also relieved that the situation was "taken care of". Then I discovered that the dead chipmunk was NOT the one in my house! Eventually though with the doors open, it made it's way outside where the cat picked it up and chased it around while I screamed "NO SMILEY!" (kid-chosen cat name). The lucky chipmunk escaped in the end, and everything's now ok. Sorry - that turned out to be a very long story!

This afternoon Autumn has her last ballet class and brings her costume with her to practice their routine. I should probably get out my list of rules regarding this because there's a lot. Then after dinner Taryne and I are going to the high school for a tour to get ready for next year. In some ways she's ready, but in other ways I wonder. If you would like to see a sample of what I mean check out this little video Taryne made last night when she was home alone.

It is titled "Chasing Cars (literally)" My mom probably shouldn't watch this. And the sign on the cone says SLOW.

Monday Madness!

Happy Monday! I can tell today is going to be a wonderful day (sarcastic)!!

Last night we had the door going outside propped open because the cats keep coming in and out, and that way they can come and go as they please. Well, at one point I walked towards the kitchen and there was a chipmunk INSIDE, and it chirped and ran out. Without screaming I calmly closed the door and thought the problem was solved.

Sometime during the night one of the cats wanted out, so Keith propped the door open again so the cat didn't keep bothering us. When I got up this morning I noticed that Keith had done this and immediately closed it thinking everything was good. Then just after signing online this morning I heard a chirp - in close proximity to where I was.

So that creepy little creature is somewhere inside AGAIN, but this time I don't know where. My fear is that I will unknowingly walk towards it and it will panic and charge at me. Then I will involuntarily SCREAM a scream so loud the neighbors will wonder what's going on over here!

If it doesn't leave on it's own I will let it have the house and I will leave! At least until the end of the day when Keith comes home from work and can rescue us! Maybe I'll get a photo of it sitting on the couch or something!

If anyone has any tips on getting a wild animal out of the house let me know cause I could really use the help!

OMG I just heard it again - gotta go!
