And she is now Sweet 16

16 years ago today I gave birth to a baby girl and I named her Taryne Ashley.  I didn't realize what a difference she was going to make in my life until I brought her home from the hospital. From that day on my life has not been the same. Over past 16 years she has brought noise, drama, many moments when you just don't know what to say or do, lots of fun, hysterical nonstop laughter, and most importantly L♥VE!

Jealous yet?

I bet you wish you had your own 4 foot icicle don't you?

Icicles are one of Autumn's favorite winter things. She usually locates the biggest one she can find, and breaks it off and eats it. (Yea I know that as a mother I probably shouldn't let her eat an icicle because of pollution, but it only happens occasionally during the winter :)

Anyways, this winter there are icicles everywhere and they are HUGE! Last night Keith pulled this giant one of our house and Autumn was sooooooo excited she had to bring it inside to show me. So of course I had to get a picture of this amazing natural occurance. (Please ignore the fact that my daughter is in all black as she was pretending she was a ninja earlier. I would never let her go to school like that lol).

Well I'm off to sit at my nice warm craft table and watch the snow pile up.....

Happiness Is...

~ sledding in the freshly fallen snow with your doll

~ homemade peanut butter cups (which I made for my brothers birthday, although I could have very easily eaten many of them myself :)

~ staying indoors when it's too cold to go outside, and taking pictures of your toys.

Today I'm enjoying feeling the sun upon my face. This feeling will soon be gone and replaced with three days of cold, snowy weather. These days are sure to contain school cancellations, arguing & bored girls, two fighting cats, undriveable roads, and too much snow to even open the door. But it does give me an excuse to stay indoors and work on my projects :)
