Cupcakes to die for !

Choosing which dessert to make for a holiday is always a tough decision. There are so many yummy things to pick from. For Thanksgiving dessert this year I decided upon Black Bottom Cupcakes. They are chocolately, but not overly sweet. The taste was described by my relatives as "to die for". So today I've decided to share my recipe with you :)

Black Bottom Cupcakes

1 6oz. package of cream cheese, softened
1/3 C sugar
1 egg
1 6oz. package (1 cup) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1-1/2 C all purpose flour
1 C sugar
1/4 C unsweetened cocoa
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 C water
1/3 C oil
1 tbsp vinegar
1 tsp vanilla

Heat oven to 350 F. Line 18 muffin cups with paper baking cups. In small bowl combine cream cheese, 1/3C sugar and egg, mix well. Stir in chocolate chips, set aside.

In a large bowl combine flour, 1 cup sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Add water, oil, vinegar and vanilla. Beat 2 minutes on medium speed. Fill each paper-lined cup half full. Top each with 1 tbsp of cream cheese mixture.

Bake at 350F for 20-30 minutes, or until cream cheese mixture is light golden brown. Cool 15 minutes and remove from pans. Cool completely then store in refrigerator.
Enjoy!

Mystery Monday for Mom's!

The biggest shopping day of the year and Cyber Monday are just days away,  so I thought today would be the perfect day to share a website I came across which is very helpful in locating hard-to-find toys.

As a mom I know that every year there is at least one HOT toy that is on your child's list which you cannot find. As Christmas draws closer you may become frantic in your search. To make matters worse your child may repeatedly mention how they hope Santa will bring them this particular toy. What can you do in a situation like this?

Enter Zoolert.com ~ a FREE in-stock tracker with FREE alerts. And it really works!

This website keeps track of stock for several popular online stores such as Toys 'R Us, Walmart, Kmart and Target. You just search for the toy you are looking for and how you'd like to be alerted when the item is in stock (directly on the computer, text, email). Once it is you may need to be quick, as others will be waiting as well. Sometimes products will be in stock for only minutes, depending on the toy.

If you have success locating your hard-to-find toy come back and leave me a comment! I'd love to hear of your success!
Happy Shopping :)
