Saturday Share ...

Today I'd like to share my newest Mother's Day card. You could say I'm getting into the groove here as I have a bunch more I've photographed and just need to list. One thing you can say about my cards is that there are no others like them out there :))

Does anybody have any fun weekend plans? I think for me it's a "do as I feel like it when I want to do it" weekend. After a busy week it's nice to be able to do that.

It's also gorgeous outside so I will definately sit outside in the sun while Autumn plays in the yard :)

Fabulous Friday Finds ...

... Fly Away With Me

Hot air balloons are beautiful and magical. To let go of a regular balloon and watch it float away into the atmosphere is one thing, but to actually be able to hop into a basket attached to a giant balloon and travel into the atmosphere, takes it to a whole new level.

Personally I have never gone up in a hot air balloon, nor do I ever plan to, but just watching for the ground is such a lovely experience. A few miles from where I live there's a place which gives hot air balloon rides. Sometimes Autumn will see one while she's riding to school on the bus, or we've even been awakened early in the morning to the sound of one floating above our house. We've seen them close enough to wave to the passengers inside, and for them to wave back.

Recently hot air balloons have become a trend which has been "floating around" in the arts and crafts world. There are many magical creations and supplies centered around these gorgeous balloons. This finally brings me to my weekly roundup of Etsy finds. Let your imagination soar to the sky and beyond while looking at these dreamy hot air balloon products. Each photo is numbered and shop links are listed below the collage.

Enjoy :)

Have you ever taken a ride in a hot air balloon? If so what was your experience? I'm a bit afraid of heights and I think I'd feel as if I were going to fall out of the basket.  But maybe it's not what I think.

Happy Friday!

Handmade Card for Mother's Day

What Mother's Day card is complete without flowers and lace? Not this one :)

I know that flowery, lacey cards are not everyone's style, but this will be just one of a bunch I plan on making. Once I get going I usually end up with a bunch of cards which are all completely different from one another. Sometimes I wonder how my brain even went to a particular place, and I end up with certain designs. But I think this is true of any type of designer.

So for today I have just one card to share. As you can probably tell, I'm a slow crafter. But I do promise I'll be back with more. Maybe these photos will inspire you to create your own handmade card.  Or if you'd rather just purchase a handmade card this will be available in my Etsy shop today :)  Just take a look at my shop listings on the righthand sidebar, and when it's listed it will show up there.

Have a Happy Thursday!

handmade cards

It's been awhile since I've created handmade cards.  Since Valentine's Day actually.  I always go off on tangets with my Etsy shop and personal projects. Mostly due to the fact that I see all these beautiful creations on Pinterest other blogs, and think "Hey I could make that!" and then off I go buying new materials, and beginning new projects :)

With Mother's Day being the next holiday, I decided it's the perfect time to get back into cardmaking. I've started off with a few spring-like cards, which has given me the inspiration to jump back into my papercrafting mode. I hope to have a bunch of brand new Mother's Day cards to share in the coming days. Unless of course I become inspired by something else I see online, and go off on one of my creative tangents.  In that case I may have something completely different to share lol. But at this moment I have Mother's Day cards on my mind.

Hoppy Days!

General/Birthday/Mother's Day
So now I must go set aside my felt and sewing machine (from my iPhone cozie projects) and take out my paper, cardstock, embellishments, adhesives and scizzors.

What spring-like projects do you have in the works?

If you have something you'd like to share, just leave your blog link in the comments so I can have a look :)
Have a great day!

Easter

Family, fun, laughter, joy, memories, crafts, food...
A perfect description of our day.

Pictured above is Autumn with her Easter Basket.  This year she still believes in the Easter Bunny, even though she caught me the other night playing Tooth Fairy. This will probably be the last year I can enjoy watching her being amazed by what he has brought for her.  The Easter Bunny also hides chocolate eggs around the house.  Took Autumn about 3.5 minutes to find them all.

During the day we completed two crafts to keep busy, as Autumn was the only little one around.  (This is one of the downsides to not having a sibling close in age.)  We decorated an egg shape with crinkled  pieces of tissue paper, and also made thumbprint chicks. The thumbprint chicks were the most fun :)

And that pie up there is the Lemon Meringue Pie that I've been talking about obsessivly lately.  I really wanted to make this pie, but was so worried that it was going to turn out horrible.  Well it wasn't the best pie in the world, but it was pretty good :)  Whew!

Our day was also accompanied by piano music played by Taryne. She plays really well, and it's nice to hear.

Hope you all had an enjoyable weekend. Can't believe it's already Monday. Time moves too fast, especially when your having fun.
